In the Ghanaian music industry, a figure such as DJ Alordia (Nii Ofori Tackie) needs no introduction. As an event producer, record label boss, music promoter and one of the most sought after DJ’s, he has affirmed himself as one of the most hard-working and major players on the scene. Alordia Promotions was founded in 2000 when DJ Alordia met Isaac Abiedu Aidoo aka Goodies, a well-respected music producer who is now his partner in Ghana. Before then, DJ

Alordia was spinning the latest Ghanaian tunes on radio with his partner DJ Skoobi on Voice of Africa radio where their shows saw the pair gain a reputation as one of the most exciting and freshest DJ’s on Ghanaian radio.

The duo moved on to Hot 90.00 FM. In 2003, DJ Alordia won the best Radio DJ/ Presenting award at the Ghana Music Awards UK. DJ Alordia’s presence in the Ghanaian music industry soared when he obtained the European rights to significant Ghanaian music album releases.

Alordia Promotions then ventured into gospel music. Aside from the record label, Alordia Promotions also encompasses live Ghanaian music events in the UK. They also have a number of DVD releases under their belt that includes the productions titled ‘Hip-Life Splash’ and ‘Hip-Life Festival’. Alordia Promotions offers consultancy service where they provide advice and assistance for all areas of event production and music promotion.

He began his career as part of a boy band in Ghana known as New Generation, managed by Ocean Records, and featured on the album titled “Sei aa na y3 p3”.

Over the years, he has worked with and managed a number of musicians in both Ghana and the United Kingdom. Collaborating with various sound engineers, he has contributed to the production of high-quality music while supporting artistes in building successful and meaningful careers.

In addition, he is a creative radio presenter and a member of the team behind the popular weekly programme Entertainment Review. He also hosts Obimanso (Life in a Foreign Land) on a well-recognised UK-based radio station. Through his work in radio, he reaches a global audience, delivering insightful discussions and valuable guidance.

He is a qualified quantity surveyor and does Disc Jockey by night. He started DJing as a hobby and it has now turned to his second career. He has been in the music industry for 11 years and he is one of the residential DJs at The Gold Coast Bar & two other Restaurants in London.

He has had a successful journey where he has had the opportunities to DJ at weddings, parties, christening, house parties, BBQ’s and many more. He has been promoting Ghanaian Music to the various ethnic communities.

In 2016, George spearheaded a campaign advocating for increased Ghanaian
music airplay, which helped inspire the “80% Ghana Music Play” initiative
aimed at promoting more local content on radio and television across the
country. This effort contributed significantly to industry-wide conversations
around cultural representation and the sustainability of Ghanaian music.
Over the years, George has executed high-impact campaigns with some of
