He has over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Mark Darlington as he is affectionately called began his journey by organising events in Accra, Ghana. Notable amongst this was the Buju Banton’s Destiny Concert in 1999.

He relocated to the United Kingdom for further studies where his love for music/entertainment flourished. He then branched into entertainment journalism as writer/editor of entertainment columns for, ROOTS Magazine and Ghana Today newspaper all based in London.

He started music mastering and editing, working with engineers at the Hiltongrove Mastering Studios in London. Albums he worked on included – ‘Nyakonton’ by Kontihene featuring hit track ‘Aketesia’, ‘Aklowa’ by Kaseem featuring Wulomei, ‘Oye Ohene’ by Obrafour, Agooji Baby by Lucky Mensah, ‘Odo Nso’ by Ekow Shailo (which introduced BATMAN Samini), ‘Hye me bo’ by Deeba (his second album).

Mark ventured into studio music production with the encouragement of the late Big Joe (Nakasi Records) and Obrafour.Mark has recorded vocals for Kwaisey Pee’s hit album, ‘Mehia Odo’, Kofi Nti (on his ‘Akonta’ album), X-Doe, Tinny, Bollie, Shyy (Nkasei), Naa K. (Nkasei), Barima Sidney, Yoggi Doggie, etc.

He also produced songs for Sonni Balli, Iwan, Stonebwoy Burniton, Shatta Wale, IWAN, Sugar Ranking, Skrewfaze, Karamanti (Jamaica), Blasto Imva (Malawi) and a host of Jamaican, African, UK & European artistes.

He has received nominations for Bass Awards ‘Riddim of the Year’ in 2014 followed by UK -Based producer of the year at the Ghana Music Awards UK in 2017. Currently he is part of Reggie N Bollie management team and runs his own Black Kulcha record label.

He is a high profile personality in music and entertainment industry. He founded BASE Management (Group) about 30 years ago with the vision that create history and inspire the next generations.

30 years after its debut on the UK Arts, Entertainment & Sports landscape, BASE Management has continued to make waves in an industry where the longevity of Black outfits is usually measured by a few years.

BASE Management occupies a unique position in the UK in the development and promotion of Black Music & Entertainment in the UK. When BASE Management came on the scene, Black Music and Entertainment in the UK was on a low base and on the margins.

Through its catalytic promotions, development of grass root artistes’ recordings and show casing of all music of Black Origin, BASE Management paved the way for Black music and its entertaining activities to enter the mainstream in the UK.

CONFIDENCE HAUGEN

She is a Socialite, Entrepreneur, Reality TV star and Media Personality. She is the beautiful Confidence who has been self-employed after her participation in Miss Ghana beauty pageant in 1998 and she has never looked back ever since.

As a businesswoman, Confidence operated the biggest night clubs in Ghana -the Aphrodisiac chain of night clubs for over two decades. Aside these, she rose to fame across Africa after representing Ghana in the Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality TV show season 6 “Big Brother Amplified” in 2011. She still remains the most popular and most respected housemate to ever represent Ghana in the Big Brother house since its inception.

She ventured into the fashion industry with the introduction of her new Konfidence shoes, bags and accessories fashion brand in 2012 in Accra. She has set up a record label – Venus World Records which has produced some great Ghanaian musicians.

In a bid to empower herself, Confidence attended and graduated from the London academy of media, film and television where she studied television presenting, acting and media both theory and practical. This was after she hosted the red carpet at the Ghana Music Awards for two consecutive years in Ghana.

As a TV personality, confidence hosted a sex and relationship themed programs on both TV3 and Live FM in Accra. As a humanitarian, Confidence has reached out to the needy and less privileged in society in Ghana, Africa and beyond through her project Smile Foundation. She has recently launched her high quality Konfidence Hair brand.

KWEKU IBRAHIM BADU

He was born and bred in Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana, an on-air personality and lover of music and radio.

He started developing an interest in radio when he first honored a friend’s invitation to BBC Radio 1 in Manchester. He then ended up producing for Real XS. He moved on to the mainstream on Brainy Radio for a couple of years until Big Radio poached him.

Over the years his works have transcended many borders. In 2017, he was awarded the Best Radio Presenter of the Year at the Variety Night Show in the USA. In 2019, the UK-Ghana High Commission in collaboration with the Ghanaian Union of Greater Manchester honored him for promoting unity among the Ghanaian Community in the UK championed by Big Radio.

ISAAC ABEIDU-AIDOO

He is popularly known as Goodies is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and music mogul. He is the CEO of Goodies Music Production, Goodies Bebs Limited, President of Youth Evolution Foundation, and the Chairman of Rural Organic Farmers and Food Processors Association.

With over 20 years of practical managerial exposure to the music and agribusiness industry, Goodies has successfully produced and managed top Ghanaian musicians such as Lord Kenya, Sidney, Mzbel, Tic Tac, Tinko, VIP, and among others.

Internationally, he has managed 2Face Idibia, Tony Tetula, Afro Moses, a Ghanaian Australia-based, and Julie Andee of Liberia. In the year 2000, through his efforts, Goodies Farms was awarded the best poultry farm in the Akwapim South District. As a philanthropist, he provided two bole holes to the Amanfrom community to help manage the acute water problems in the area and provided electricity poles for their electricity project.

His record label, Goodies Music Production, was adjudged the best Record Label in Ghana. In 2008, Mr. Abeidu-Aidoo was appointed by Ghana Olympic Committee as an Entertainment Ambassador for Culture to raise funds in the country and Overseas for Ghana’s participation in Beijing 2008 games in China. He has been a professional radio presenter for 19 years. He worked at Vibe FM and Top radio in Ghana in the late 90’s. When he relocated to the UK, his passion for broadcasting led him to the studio of Hot digital online in London. He is the host of the morning show and he elaborates on political issues in Ghana. He has a diploma in Media Law which was awarded to him in London.

Valentine’s morning show on Hot digital online attracts audiences in the UK and in Ghana.He has a good sense of humour and he brings news from all over the world to his audience. He engages people in the diaspora to their roots.

His passion to see the gospel music in the UK flourish is expressed in how he encourages them to produce good music to his listeners.

He is a serial entrepreneur, author and the curator and producer of ‘No Bling! TV’ The first groundbreaking UK television music show for Unsigned Acts as well as developing people through his school in Ghana and his innovative pageant Miss Face of Ghana UK.

Ekow Anderson popularly known in showbiz as Andy has worked with many Ghanaian musicians including Daddy Lumba, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Kofi Nti, KK Fosu, Sidney, Guru, Eazzy, Esther Smith, Ohemaa Mercy, Ernest Opoku, Castro, Della Hayes & All-Female Band, and many more for numerous events from 2005 till date, both in UK and Ghana.

He has covered almost all the top events in awards, fashion shows, sports, and music among others, both local and international. Andy has a great passion for music and a better understanding of showbiz. He is currently the country manager for Alordia Promotions, UK & Ghana, and Founder & CEO of Paddys Trading LLC in the USA.

No other DJ/Host has the versatility of Teddy Abrokwa. An icon in the Ghanaian community, Teddy was just 16 when he started Djing at house parties. Today he plays around the world, hosts an impactful podcast – The Base Conversations and has a syndicated weekly radio show, The Soundboy Session that airs on Saturdays 4-6 pm GMT in the UK on www.TheBaseRadio.com and Y107.9FM in Accra, Ghana his motherland.

Teddy started his radio career in Ghana on college radio, followed by stints at Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in 2004/05, London’s Hot FM from 2007-2012. In 2021, he set up an online station, The Base Radio and The Base Photography/Podcast studios in London.

Outside of his career as a DJ and Radio personality, Teddy is active as an entrepreneur, Workforce Transformation Programs Manager at the NHS and a mentor through The Base Network that offers youngsters from deprived backgrounds in East London the opportunity to learn radio broadcasting, podcast production, photo, and video editing and directing.

Teddy was the 2010 DJ of the year at the maiden edition of GUBA awards and is delighted to be a part of the GMAUK Academy, bringing on board his passion, drive, and commitment to pushing Ghanaian music and culture forward.

KWEKU N.MENZO

He is professionally known as DJ Makossa was born in Ghana and moved to the UK in 1992. He attended Takoradi Polytechnic and completed a diploma course in Painting and Decorating. He continued to Hammersmith and West London College for City and Guilds Signwork Level ll.

He bought his first twin CD Controller in 1996, started practicing in his East London flat, and within a couple of months had a slot on WBLS RADIO in London.

DJ Makossa aka Ghana’s Most Wanted DJ became a household name and started playing house parties, in nightclubs and events like Miss Ghana UK, Ghana Independence Dance UK, Ghana Party In The Park and the list goes on.

Makossa will mix the English language with Fanti language and Ghanaian Broken English on the radio and the listeners love him for that.Ghanaian music in particular means a lot to Makossa, and music, in general, is his passion. His addition to the academy brings a whole experience.
